Sip on this layered vanilla matcha that captures all the nostalgic sweetness of cherry. Ruby cherry-almond syrup sits beneath creamy milk and frothy vanilla matcha for a café-style iced drink with dessert-like comfort.

Ingredients

For the Drink:
1–2 tsp Blendsmiths Chill’d Vanilla Matcha
50ml warm water
2–3 tbsp cherry & almond syrup
150–180ml almond milk
Fresh cherry, for garnish

For the Cherry & Almond Syrup (makes enough for 4 drinks):
160g fresh cherries, pitted
250ml water
90g sugar
½ tsp almond extract
Juice of ½ lemon

Method

1. Create the Syrup
Simmer the cherries, water, and sugar in a saucepan over medium heat for 20 minutes, stirring regularly. Strain well, pressing the fruit to extract all the flavour. Stir in the lemon juice and almond extract, then allow to cool completely.

2. Prepare the Matcha
Whisk the vanilla matcha with the warm water until smooth, frothy, and lump-free.

3. Build the Drink
Fill a tall glass with ice and pour the cherry-almond syrup into the bottom. Slowly add the almond milk to create a layered effect.

4. Finish
Gently pour the frothy matcha over the milk and garnish with a fresh cherry before serving.
