Matcha Orange Smoothie
You might think Matcha is this new, cool, hip thing that all the kids are drinking. Well, listen up - Matcha has been around for thousands of years and is the drink of Zen Buddhist masters, believing it helps then to remain calm and focused. Matcha is the drink of Japan and is gaining popularity across the globe.
What's also great about Matcha apart from the gazillion antioxidants in boasts is it's versatility to mix with other ingredients and this Matcha Orange smoothie is the perfect afternoon delight.
How to make as cold beverage
Ingredients
1 cup (40g) Spinach leaves packed
(255g) Satsumas / Mandarins / Tangerines or one large Navel orange, peeled
1/2 (1.3cm) or more nob of fresh ginger sliced thin
1 & 1/2 tsp Blendsmiths Matcha powder
1 banana frozen
3 Tbs hemp seeds
1/2 - 1 cup (107g to 230g) water (adjust water depending on how thick or thin you want your smoothie)
Method
Using a high speed blender, add the spinach leaves, oranges, ginger, Matcha green tea, banana and hemp seeds. Blend on high speed until smooth and creamy, about 30 seconds. Enjoy right away.
