Changes

Changes

It has been a period in all our lives, a shared experience each and everyone one of us will remember for as long as we are lucky to be here. What have we learnt? What will change, anything?Well, for one, we have learnt we aren’t as untouchable as we may have thought and nature is perhaps taking its due cause, it’s way of giving us a rather significant wake up call.

Cafe Culture

Cafe Culture

Ask anybody their personal connection to the café and they will happily oblige with a romantic love affair of undeniable truth. The café has, does and will always play host to many people from all walks of life and for different reasons. Whether you’re a writer searching for inspiration, a freelancer needing to get out of the house (don’t we all), a coffee aficionado looking for that next new thing or you’re just like me, in need of a sit down and a good read over a Turmeric Latte and a slice of carrot cake, a big slice at that!

Creating brand visuals

Creating brand visuals

With every business that requires creative services, I work initially with understanding their unique brand identity and how to reflect this in their visuals. A task I strive for when having the initial meeting and helping to construct a clear brief.Blendsmiths have been great to work with since day one due to their passion and focus on creating a brand that not only sits subjectively within the coffee shop industry but also renders their own identity to a customer base reactive to independent trade and non-corporate enterprise.

Body Behaviours

Body Behaviours

It was this time 6 years ago when my initial intolerance to caffeine reared its ugly head!I was living in Melbourne at the time and fully immersing myself in the city’s well-known speciality coffee scene whilst simultaneously transitioning my career from corporate FMCG to the world of coffee.Behind the scenes of a coffee company can seem like a vault of hidden treasures, captained by Willy Wonka himself and you guessed it, there is a lot of drinking coffee involved, A LOT.

The small brand effect

The small brand effect

This has seen a rise in a number of micro brands that have tailored their marketing and their products to suit the need of their ‘local’ client base, which has seen them take market share away from the large global conglomerate’s.

Starting a business - Part 2

Starting a business - Part 2

We have read many books about successful businesses, books about successful people, we’ve worked in some of these businesses ourselves and one thing stands true of them all, consistency.Consistency doesn’t mean resting on your laurels or standing still.A business, a person, a group of people can be creative, innovative, fast paced and be consistent. Growth can happen, the speed in which things happen can change but consistency can be achieved throughout all of this.

“We love Blendsmiths and have worked with them since they started in 2017. Their Hot Chocolates and Chais are praised by our baristas as great quality and easy to work with. Importantly our customers love the drinks and keep coming back for more. They're always keen to support and take a real interest in our business. If we're in need, they bust a gut to help, always going the 'extra mile'.”
